Pre-CanSkate

One of Skate Canada's flagship learn-to-skate programs, designed for skaters ages 3-5.

This is an introduction to skating and encourages a “learning through play” philosophy while allowing the participants to become comfortable and competent on the ice. The participants will progress through specific skills  that will teach them ice movements in a fun, friendly and energetic environment. All lessons are in a group format and led by certified Skate Canada coaches who are assisted by trained Program Assistants.

Pre-CanSkate takes place on the same ice time as our CanSkate Program. This allows us to move skaters up part way through the program to allow skaters to continue to progress at the appropriate level. Coaches are constantly performing evaluations so that skaters may be fast tracked to the appropriate CanSkate level as soon as they are ready.
